Our Trustees

    Tony Wilson - Chair of Trustees

    Tony Wilson joined the Board as a Chairman in 2005 and served for 6 years. In 2016 he returned as Chairman. He lives in Cheshire, has two daughters, and has varied business interests both in the UK and overseas. Tony has always believed that 'life is precious and short' and after being involved in charitable causes on a low-key basis, decided that Beechwood was just the place to donate his time. "Beechwood is a special place and makes a real difference to people's lives, the trustees and staff have an obligation to ensure that the the highest possible service is delivered and that we spend every penny of our funding with respect and frugality."

    Jackie Collins - Vice-Chair of Trustees

    Jackie Collins has been a trustee at Beechwood for almost ten years. She is currently Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees, Chair of the Clinical sub committee, a member of the Finance committee and a member of the Governance committee. A retired nurse, her entire career was in occupational health and nurse education in the university sector.

    Danila Armstrong - Trustee

    Danila is a retired public health specialist. Her career in the NHS and the civil service has provided her with both operational and strategic skills. She has worked across the spectrum of care in both hospital and community services as well as policy development regionally and nationally for the Department of Health.

    Dave Cheetham - Trustee

    Dave is a Chartered Accountant who started his career at PwC before moving to Ford Campbell Corporate Finance where he became Partner in 2004. Since 2007 he has remained as Partner at FCCF whilst developing his experiences as a Finance Director in the private sector where he was awarded NW Finance Director of the year in 2011. For his sins, Dave is an avid supporter of Stockport County FC and became involved in Beechwood in 2010.

    Ian Cook - Trustee

    Originally from Birmingham, Ian moved and made his home in Stockport in the 1980’s. A married, family man that has run his own successful advertising, marketing and direct mail businesses in Stockport for 20 years. Ian brings to Beechwood a wealth of marketing and promotional expertise, to help ensure we maintain the highest profile.

    Reuben Fielding - Trustee

    I was born and have lived in Woodford all my life. I am married with two adult children and two grandchildren. I have always been in farming and enjoy renovating properties to a high standard, hence my interest in the ‘Beechwood Properties’ and wanting them to be inviting for everyone coming through the doors and assisting in the success of Beechwood.

    Paul Harrison - Trustee

    Paul is the editor of the Stockport Express and the Stockport Times. He has more than 20 years' experience in the media and has worked at MEN Media since 1999. He spearheaded the Beechwood Butterfly Appeal in 2010 that raised £120,000 to build the Butterfly Family Centre.

    Dr. Satish Mehta - Trustee

    I am a retired General Practitioner who joined the Board of Trustees in 2001. Having been involved in Beechwood from its beginning in 1990's, I am privileged to have seen it develop into an organisation which provides holistic after-care service inclusive of complementary, nutritional and psychotherapy to those suffering from cancer as well as their family members, children and carers.

    Sandra Sinclair - Trustee

    Sandra is a qualified Solicitor and former partner with SAS Daniels and its predecessors (1988 – 2010) and Senior Partner 2006 – 2010. Sandra is now an Owner/manager of Sinclair Law Solicitors and has more than 30 years experience in professional services, with 20 years in family law, finance and children. She also has extensive corporate background in business and people management. Sandra is the Past President of Stockport Incorporated Law Society and serving Committee Member both at local and regional levels. She has lived and worked in the Stockport area for over 30 years and is mum to James. Sandra has been a Trustee with Beechwood since 2008 and is current Chair of Governance Sub-Committee.

    John Stevenson - Trustee

    John is owner of Manchester based IFA business Pareto Financial Planning Ltd and lives in the Stockport area. Married to Nicky John is the father of 4 girls. He was instrumental in the Fashion Kicks fashion and football fusion event which has raised over £1.2m for cancer and children charities with Beechwood being one of the beneficiaries. John’s focus is on working with the fundraising team to maximise event potential and raise the profile of Beechwood within the business community.

    Neil Timperley - Trustee

    Neil joined the board at Beechwood in early 2000 to kickstart the marketing and corporate identity. After seven years of being a board member, Neil left to further his own business goals. He later rejoined Beechwood as a Trustee in 2011 to also be part of the Marketing & Fundraising Sub Group. Neil is an an active member of the 41 club and an ex-Stockport Rotarian.

    Marjorie Whyte - Trustee

    Marjorie Whyte has been a Trustee of Beechwood for almost twenty years. She is a member of the Clinical Sub Group Committee. Marjorie is a former patient at Beechwood and as a Trustee represents the patients at the Centre.
