Family Support Service at Beechwood

Beechwood Family Therapy Service offers confidential counselling and support to all family members where somebody has been diagnosed with a serious illness, or there has been a bereavement. Although there is a particular focus on the needs of children and young people, family members of all ages (including grandparents) are welcome to access this service.

We also offer information, training and personal support for professionals working in education, health and social care settings and in faith communities, who may come into contact with families where there is serious illness or a bereavement.
We would encourage both family members and professionals to contact Beechwood as early on a possible – you may find it helpful just to talk things through in a single session. There is no need for there to be a 'problem' before you feel you can get in touch with us.

How to contact us:

You can e-mail us at family@beechwoodcancercare.co.uk or you may phone Beechwood directly or a relative or friend may do this for you on 0161 476 0384.  Ask for Family Support.
If we can't answer in person, please leave us a message letting us know how to contact you and we will get in touch as soon as we can.
You do not need to be referred by a professional – you can contact us directly yourself or you may ask any professional (doctor, nurse, teacher, etc) to make a referral on your behalf.
Young people aged 16 years and over may contact Beechwood indepdentently if they wish.
