CERTIFICATE IN SUPPORTING FAMILIES WITH SERIOUS ILLNESS, LOSS & BEREAVEMENT
As experts in counselling and supporting children and their parents through loss and bereavement, Beechwood is well placed to create and deliver thought-provoking training for professionals who work alongside children.
The Certificate in Supporting Families with Serious Illness, Loss and Bereavement will consist of two one-day workshops. They can be completed as standalone continuing professional development workshops or nested together to gain the certificate.
Both of the workshops will be delivered by experienced members of the Beechwood Counselling team using a variety of teaching methods and opportunities to explore a selection of resources to support families.
The training will be suitable for any professional who wishes to improve their skills when supporting and communicating with families regarding serious illness, loss and bereavement and other difficult situations.
- To introduce learners to different understandings of loss and bereavement within families
- To learn age appropriate counselling skills when supporting children and young people through serious illness, loss and bereavement
