Relaxation and visualisation

  • roles and relationships change
  • people's thoughts are filled with worry
  • people can be short tempered
  • your experiences can feel like no-one else's
  • You may have a lot of questions about what's happening, that people don't seem able to answer.
Because the adults in your family are upset and worried, you might feel that you shouldn't talk to them about your own worries.

The Family Support Service at Beechwood is there to help you, not just your parents...

If you would like to talk to someone, in private, about any of the things that are worrying or upsetting you, just contact the Family Therapist at Beechwood.

If you really don't feel like talking, that's not a problem, there are paints and all kinds of art materials you can use to express what's going on for you.

And if just coming to Beechwood feels a bit scary at first, that's no problem either, we can always arrange to meet for a chat somewhere you feel more relaxed. Perhaps there's a cafe or coffee bar you like?
